You must pay the renewal fee every year for Professional Competence in order to stay enrolled on your Professional Competence Scheme. The Medical Council will ask you to confirm your enrolment on its Annual Retention Form.


How to renew your enrolment:


  • You can pay online through your RCPI Digital Hub - when you have made your online payment you will receive a receipt which is the evidence of enrolment needed by the Medical Council


  • You can set up a direct debit to pay your annual fee once a year. Call the RCPI Helpdesk 0n 01 8639721 and have your RCPI ID number and credit card details to hand


  • Pay over the phone with your Visa/Mastercard debit or credit card. Call the RCPI Helpdesk on 01 8639721 and have your RCPI ID number and credit card details to hand


  • We can invoice your employer. Send an email to professionalcompetence@rcpi.ie asking for this, or call the RCPI Helpdesk on 01 8639721 and have your RCPI ID number to hand
