I am a locum doctor, do I need to enrol on a Professional Competence Scheme?

If you practice medicine in Ireland for any 30 days or more during a Professional Competence year (May to April) you must be enrolled on a Professional Competence Scheme.

If you are employed by a locum agency, they have the same responsibilities as any other institutions that employ doctors to practice in Ireland.
