Occasionally you may attend a course or event that was not accredited and does not fall under the Work-Based Learning category.   In this instance, you should satisfy yourself that it is relevant to your needs and reflect on how it benefits your maintenance of professional competence.

You should also remember that the Medical Council requirement is 20 Accredited CE hours every year, so while you can record the unaccredited activity, you still need to record an additional 20 hours in the Accredited CE category.

Should you be selected for the Annual Verification Process, we would not be in a position to validate the CPD credits associated with an unaccredited claim made in the Accredited CE category.
