The examples below have been collated to describe the range of activities that may be considered for Accredited Continuing Education.
This list is indicative and not exhaustive. The Institute of Medicine may modify/expand this list based on the specific needs of registered medical practitioners enrolled in their schemes.
Accredited Continuing Education
Activities that include registered medical practitioners’ attendance at relevant educational conferences, courses, and workshops at local, national and international levels (clinical and non-clinical) outside of the workplace
Activity Examples:
• Presentations to scientific meetings
• Conferences/Seminars/Symposia – national and international
• Webinars – national and international
• Simulation-based learning
• Relevant academic qualification (for example, degree, diploma or course)
• RCPI Trainer courses and updates in medical education
